About the Event
What is the purpose of this fundraiser?
Chem Back Home marks the 95th Jubilee of the UST Department of Chemistry. The event is both a homecoming and a fundraiser — every registration, purchase, sponsorship, and donation helps support our ongoing alumni programs and department initiatives.
How Can I Help or Participate?
There are several ways to be part of Chem Back Home, whether or not you can attend in person:
- Register to attend — reserve your spot at the event. Register here.
- Pledge a service — offer your time, skills, or a service to the organizing committee. Submit a pledge.
- Buy merchandise — take home a piece of the Jubilee while supporting the cause. Shop merchandise.
- Sponsor a program — back one of the Jubilee's programs or activities directly. Become a sponsor.
- Donate — every contribution helps, even if you can't attend. Donate here.
- Sponsor a pre-registered ticket — prepay a registration ticket that another batchmate can later claim, at no cost to them, to attend the event. Sponsor a ticket.
You're welcome to combine any of the above — for example, registering for yourself while also sponsoring a ticket for a batchmate who can't cover the fee.
Registration & Attendance
How much does registration cost?
Registration fees for Chem Back Home 2026:
- UST Chem Alumni* — Php 2,000
- Guest — Php 1,000
- Souvenir Kit Only — Php 1,500 (for alumni who won't attend but want the kit)
- Beyond Golden Jubilarian* (55th, 60th, or 65th anniversary batches) — free
*Includes the Souvenir Kit — program, limited-edition tote bag, polo shirt, and various merchandise items.
Amounts are shown in your local currency on the Register page and at checkout, converted at the current exchange rate.
Can I get the Souvenir Kit without attending?
Yes. On the Register page, choose "I'd just like to get the Souvenir Kit — I won't be at the event." You'll pay the Souvenir Kit Only fee, provide your shipping details and t-shirt size at checkout, and we'll mail your kit.
Can I bring a plus one?
Yes. When you register, you can register a companion under your own account — just provide their name and t-shirt size. There's no separate account needed for your plus one; the standard guest fee (Php 1,000) applies to each companion.
Already registered and want to add more guests later? Log in and visit the Register page again — you'll see a "Register My Guest(s)" section where you can add any number of guests in one go, each charged the same guest fee.
How do I pay my registration fee?
The payment options shown depend on where you're visiting from. Philippines-based visitors pay via Bank Transfer or Other Payment. Visitors elsewhere can pay via PayPal, PayPal.Me, or GCash, with Venmo shown as well to visitors in the United States. If you pay by any method other than PayPal, please submit your payment confirmation on the same page (or through the Contact Us page) so we can verify it.
What if I've registered but haven't paid yet?
Your spot is reserved as "pending payment." You can complete payment anytime before the event, and you'll receive friendly email reminders in the meantime.
Can someone attend using a ticket I sponsored?
Yes — if you sponsor a ticket, you'll receive a unique claim code. Share that code with the person you'd like to attend, and they can use it to confirm their registration for free. You'll be notified by email once your ticket has been claimed.
What if I can't afford my own registration fee?
Sponsored tickets exist for exactly this — alumni cover the registration fee for a batchmate who can't, so nobody is priced out of the celebration. If you'd like to request one, visit the Register page, select "Request for Sponsored Ticket" under Event Registration, and fill out the form that appears. It's completely free and separate from checkout — no payment or cart involved.
An organizer reviews each request and grants a ticket from the pool of available sponsored tickets. You'll get an email acknowledging your request right away, and another as soon as a ticket is granted — timing depends on how many sponsored tickets are currently available. You can sign in anytime with the email you used to request one to check its status on your profile page.
Merchandise
How will I receive my merchandise?
Your merchandise will be shipped to the mailing address you provide at checkout, so please make sure it's complete and accurate.
Photos & Gallery
Can I upload a photo?
Yes — registered users can upload photos directly to the gallery. If you haven't registered yet but would like to share a photo, send us a message through the Contact Us page and we'll send you an upload link.
Donations & Volunteering
Can I donate without attending the event?
Absolutely. You can donate on our website or reach out to us directly — every contribution helps support our mission, whether or not you're able to join us on the day.
